Ever since the exit of
this music icon in 1996, every 2nd day of August, which is the exact
date he passed, has been set aside to mark the life and times of this African
legend with family and friends. This year’s edition has been billed to be
bigger and better as we invite all lovers of Fela to join us as we commemorate this day.
With series of
inspiring and fun-filled events lined up to spice up the day, ranging from live
stage performances of some of Fela’s
famous songs to documentaries on his life most people never knew about, the
night promises to be one to remember.

by Dede Mabiaku.
