The ex-militants, speaking under the platform of Niger-Delta Amnesty Leaders and Progressive Change for Buhari, at Effurun, Delta State, made the pledge as they passed a vote of confidence and endorsed Commander Bibi Oduku as the leader of the group in the region.
Speaking through their leaders, Gen. Opuye, Gen. Bullet Otuaro, Gen. Priest Ditimiwei Allah, Gen. T.O.B. Ogbemudia, Gen. Igere Thompson and Gen. Tony Sagbene, the group said the endorsement of Commander Oduku was because he is the only one whose leadership can ensure relative peace in the region.
