14 year old Christopher Duran (pictured) was fatally shot outside his apartment building while on his way to school with his younger brother. This shooting took place in the Bronx, New York and police are searching for the gunman.

Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce confirmed the existence of the surveillance video and agreed “it’s pretty gruesome.”
The hoodie-clad gunman may have been trying to “disguise what he looks like” with the bandana, he added. "We look at that as a very distinctive piece of clothing," said Boyce. "You can see him walking off to the other side.”
Investigators suspect Duran’s killer
may have been exacting revenge for something his 18-year-old brother a
reputed member of the Bronx-based “280” gang did, sources said.
“He’s a pretty boy,” his uncle, Jose Mendoza, said. “He never do nothing. He never hangs out with gangs, nothing like that."
Breaking down in tears, Mendoza, 29, said “it breaks my heart. The only thing I want to know, who did it, and why he did it."
“His mom is going crazy,” said Duran’s cousin, Stephanie Guzman, 25. “There's no words for how they feel.”
