Yobe Government Shuts Down All Schools Over Monday Bombings

Yobe State Government has closed down all public and private schools in the state following a bomb blast that occurred at Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum in the state where 48 students lost their lives and 79 students injured.

The commissioner of education in the state announced this morning that the closure was with immediate effect for the main time till further notice.

According to the commissioner, the government decided to close the schools to enable it adopt more security measures to guarantee the safety of students, teachers and the school environment across the state.
