This followed the presentation of a certificate of clearance to the governor by the screening committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Deacon Ishola Adeyemi, in a statement, said the governor was issued the clearance certificate at the end of the screening of aspirants by the PDP in Bauchi at the weekend.
The presentation of the clearance certificate has now put to rest, speculations that the governor will contest the senatorial seat in 2015 following calls by various PDP stakeholders from the seven local government areas of the state that make up the Bauchi South Senatorial District.
Chairman of the screening panel, while presenting the certificate to the governor, said Yuguda met all the criteria set up by the party for its aspirants, pointing out that the committee was thorough in the screening exercise, which was conducted at the zonal secretariat of the party in Bauchi.
