She's had no shortage of television experience as a world renowned tennis champion.
But current number one seed Serena Williams stepped in front of the camera for a different reason recently.
The
33-year-old sporting star showed off her toned figure and enviable
curves as she shot a TV campaign for Australian lingerie brand Berlei.
Despite the somewhat intimidating prospect of stripping down to her smalls, Serena told the Daily Telegraph that she felt comfortable in her own skin.
'I'm a normal woman - I can get self-conscious. But I think that is just natural for women to feel that way,' she said.
I have
learned to be proud of my curves and to embrace them. It's important to
love who you are and realise that you're beautiful, no matter what
society says.'
The brand's senior marketing manager Kellie Warwick told Daily Mail Australia that Serena was a natural on set in Miami.
'She
was without a doubt a natural behind the camera and was an absolute
delight to work with,' she said, 'She is such a professional!'
'The
entire Berlei team loved working with Serena on our latest sports bra
campaign, The Bounce Masters. We are delighted to have one of the
world's best female athletes (and a supreme master of bounce)
representing Berlei Australia.'
The ad,
which is due to be released in time for Serena's appearance at the
Australian Open in January, is the first the 18-time grand slam champion
has done for the label after first signing on as a sports bra
ambassador in 2013.
Behind-the-scenes images from the set see Serena draped in a long dressing gown as she prepares to shoot a take.
Sporting
a flawless beauty look, she wears a sultry feline flick of black eye
liner and flaunts a short blonde haircut full of bouncing curls.
The tennis star has also recently done a photo shoot with the brand that sees her pose in a range of different underwear sets.
One
image sees her showing off her taut tummy and toned thighs in a
matching black bra and pair of briefs while a printed bomber jacket is
draped over her shoulders.
She dons a
sophisticated blazer over a high-waisted pair of briefs in another shot
and slips into a tight-fitting pencil skirt in a third.
Serena has been quite vocal lately about her relationship status saying she wants to settle down and start a family.
When asked if she wants to settle down during a Twitter Q&A earlier this month, she wrote: 'Desperately. My time will come.'
Another fan asked if she was single and she replied: 'Not by choice.'
It's
hard to imagine the talented beauty will struggle to attract a suitor
when her ad goes to air in Australia at the beginning of next year.
