Governor Shettima wasted over N500bn in three years – Kashim Imam

Three times gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Muttawalli Kashim Imam has apologized to the people of Borno State on behalf of the political leaders and elders of the state for supporting the choice of Governor Kashim Shettima in 2011.
Muttawalli Kashim Imam, was speaking on Monday, in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital while addressing supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at Forshams hall venue of the press conference organised by the Borno PDP.
He said three reasons made them to come together as leaders and elders in the state, which included: to make every effort to see to the end of insurgency in the state, to ensure that the state is on the same page with the federal government and to apologise to Borno citizens for the error they made in putting Kashim Shettima as governor.
 While advising the people to resist any attempt by miscreants in leadership position to lure them to fruitless adventure, he said it was time the people of Borno State opened their eyes to the truth and be wise in their choice of leadership in the next election, so that they could be beneficiaries of the dividends of democracy.
