At least 16 killed and 120 injured in worst-ever accident to hit Moscow subway as train derails during middle of rush hour-viewers discretion

At least 16 people were killed and more than 118 injured in the worst-ever accident on the Moscow subway.
Reports say there was chaos and panic on the packed commuter train after it stopped abruptly due to a power surge which set off an emergency alarm and braking system.
Three carriages of the Metro train came off the rails in a tunnel between the Molodezhnaya and Slavyansky Bulvar stations after the technical glitch.
One report said 108 were taken to hospital with a third of them in a serious condition. Among the dead was driver Sergey Osipov. see more photos after the cut.
